Ellen and co star Katherine Heigl are nominated for the Gold Derby TV Awards! Great news!

Grey’s Anatomy’ stars Ellen Pompeo and Katherine Heigl have both been named as nomiees for the Gold Derby TV Awards, which are voted on by readers of Los Angeles Times writer Tom O’Neill’s Gold Derby blog. The nominees were selected based on which actors received the highest number of write-in votes in the Gold Derby online forums. Pompeo was nominated for Best Drama Actress for her work on ‘Grey’s Anatomy’.These awards don’t involve gold trophies or a glamorous televised ceremony. But they are a nice show of support from fans who take television- and the chance to honor the medium’s best actors- quite seriously.
